CHAPTER 19

The weekend was isolated for Everly, as she stayed up in her room from Friday night through Saturday and Sunday night.

All she did for the weekend was walked around her room when her legs ached, talk over on the phone with Cleo, and go downstairs only when she was called for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

It was a boring one, but Everly was glad that she was out of Dorothy's sight, and only had to put up with her mean looks only at the table.

Leo, on the other hand, was out most of the time, she didn't know where he went to, but she knew it wasn't the office because the office normally doesn't function during the weekend, and he did not for once give her the chance to ask about his whereabouts because whenever he came to her room to inform her about going out, he just pushes his head into the room, says what he had to say in a sentence or two, and he was off without waiting for her response.
