CHAPTER 28

  He was pacing restlessly around his study room on the ground floor of his house, with his hands folded at his back and his flip flop making soft, plush sound with every step he takes.

  Leo's face was lined with worry and it was a bit obvious that something was troubling his mind as he broke out, murmuring to himself at intervals and running his fingers through his hair.

  He has been this way since he got back from the office later that evening, he had refused to do it as he gave the excuse of having a bloated stomach and didn't want to take in anything to alleviate his condition to one of the maids that asked him when his dinner should be served.

  He didn't also say a word to Everly, but that was the least of his worries at this moment. Although work was stressful as usual for him, that wasn't the cause of his restlessness. His mother has been acting off lately, and he was beginning to read meanings to her attitude, making him worried.
