"No, I am fine standing here," Everly replied, leaning in the cabinet.
"That was my mum," Everly said after a short pause.
"I know" Allison responded.
"How?"
"Her demeanor, and how much you acted like you didn't want her to be here gave off the information that she is a family member, someone very much close to you" Allison sent on to explain.
"You have always been sharp," Everly said with a weak smile on her face, and her eyes beaming with admiration as it rested on Allison.
"You should have just told her about it, your silence towards everything spiked her curiosity"
"I regret it at this point," Everly replied, allowing her gaze to fall on the floor, "I didn't know she was going to take any serious action, despite the fact that she had warned me about it."
"Judging from what you have told me about your mother, it was a bit obvious that she would definitely carry out her threats, how did you not see it that way?"
