  "What about the past do you want to talk about?" Everly asked, her legs crossed as she stared endlessly at the table in between them.

  "How it all happened" Devan replied, "Anytime I give myself a break to think about the whole journey I was forced to embark on, I always ask myself how did it all happen?"

  "It was too fast for you to grasp right?"

  "Yes, it was too fast for me to get a hold of the situation, talk more or even try to control it. That is why whenever a voice in me starts trying to blame me for not being able to control it all, I am always quick to defend myself that it happened too fast for me to even think about a step to take to cub it" Devan explained and there was a brief pause.

  "Why did you not also think of fighting back?" Everly started off again with a question.

  "Fight?!" Devan exclaimed creasing his brows, "How am I supposed to think of fighting when I don't know the entity I am fighting?"
