CHAPTER 154

Ethan jolted up and sat upright on his bed in shock, as hai miniature bedside clock blared endlessly, the sound reverberating throughout the stillness of the room, interlocking with the swirling sound from the ceiling fan.

Groaning deeply out of frustration, he slammed the clock and it fell off the table shattering into various pieces, this act of his silencing it. He had slept a little bit late the previous night, trying to tidy up some work documents that he would need to present to Leo this morning at work.

Rubbing his sleepy eyes again, Ethan turned to stare at the clock to see what time it was. Squinting his eyes so he could see through the blurriness of it, the clock hands were positioned at 7:35am.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat as waves of panic flew down his spine, making him tremble instantly, "7:35" he screamed like had just been stung by an insect.
