CHAPTER 186

  The sun was hanging low in the sky, behind the hills that were etched up far down the side of the highway, casting long shadows of them and the tall trees in front of it on the road that was at the outskirts of the town.

  The search party that was a mix of a few people from Ethan's neighborhood, and a few volunteers from the town local rescue team stood scatteredly around the spot where Ethan's car was abandoned by the side of the road, murmuring in hush tones.

  Alex stood in front of the group, devoid of any friend because Ethan didn't keep any company, his look was expressionless, but traces of worries lined his face. Beside him was Devan, cladded in a finely cut out shirt and pants to match with Everly right next on the line, wearing a free flowing gown that swept the floor.
