CHAPTER 68 The Scandal

  "W–what's happening?" Hazel stammered, Alfred was also anxious, and Ben especially so. He was the only one with the information source—for now, at least. However, in the next few seconds, maybe everyone in the café would see it.

  Everyone.

  Including Hazel, of course.

  "Haze, this is bad. Put on my jacket." Ben pulled his jacket off his shoulder bag. Hazel just stood there, stunned and speechless, but of course, she wanted to know what was going on.

  "Ben, answer me!" Hazel urged, scooting closer to Ben's seat. But the man remained silent.

  "No time to explain. I'll tell you in the car," Ben grabbed Hazel's hand, now wrapped in his jacket perfectly. Alfred stayed silent, but a small smile crept onto his face.

  "Hey, you can tell her," Alfred interrupted. Hazel clearly shook her head.

  "Does everyone know something except me?" Hazel groaned in frustration. This was clearly about her, yet she knew nothing. How could this happen? "Ben?"
