After spending a week in the hospital, Flynn and Hazel were finally allowed to go home. Hazel was very grateful that her injuries were not too severe, but Flynn still required various medical treatments, including surgery, due to the extensive tissue damage he suffered.
"Thank goodness you're recovering well, Sweetheart," Hazel kissed the back of Flynn's hand, making his ears turn red. Hazel's behavior had become much sweeter and gentler than usual, especially since the shooting incident.
Flynn felt overjoyed.
"I'm glad you're doing better too," Flynn leaned in. This time, he didn't let Hazel's lips escape his kiss. Today was their last day in the disinfected building. Next, Lucy was waiting at home, along with another guest Hazel had never imagined.
"Mom?" Flynn's eyes widened as he saw his mother and brother James accompanying Lucy in welcoming them home.
