The dress was stunning. Simply beautiful.

"I wish you were here, Evelyn, to see what I'm seeing," I whispered, my eyes admiring the dress.

I took the dress off the hanger and held it against my body, looking at myself in the mirror. The dress was emerald green, with diamonds sewn in such an impressive way that I wondered what stitches were used; I couldn't identify the sewing method for attaching the diamonds. The dress had a beautiful corset of ribbons, and the fabric was lace, delicate to the touch.

My reflection in the mirror seemed more presentable with the dress held in front of me. The guard's request for me to eat something was not out of mere politeness. I really needed to gain more weight. My hair was disheveled, dull, and dry; even the color seemed to have faded. My hair would have been a lovely golden blonde if I could take better care of it.
