The hall was a crowd of excitement, a blur of smiles and hushed conversations that seemed to hum with a bright, steady energy. My mom was here, her eyes sparkling with a pride that made my chest swell. And there were friends, old and new, all gathered to celebrate something I'd poured my heart and soul into. It was surreal, like watching a dream unfold before my eyes.
Today was my book launch party and even though last night, I'd been so anxious about how everything was going to turn out, this evening proved that I'd just had my panties Ina. Twist over nothing bad didn't even need to worry. It was one thing to read the positive comments about my book from different readers around the globe, but seeing some of these readers physically and hearing how much they resonated with my story brought tears of joy to my eyes. I might not have won at love in real life but my dream of being an author even since I was a child had finally been actualized and I couldn't be more fulfilled.
