CHAPTER 42 The Letter

  Autumn

Thinking back to my recent chat with Ethan and Mary, I felt like life was handing me something big. Our talk stirred up a feeling inside me, reminding me that there's room to grow and change. I decided to fully embrace this new phase of my life, leaving the past behind and focusing on what's ahead.

Mary's commitment to looking after herself struck a chord with me, and I promised to be there for her however I could. Despite the tough stuff she was dealing with, I admired how she put herself and her wolf first.

When it came to Ethan, I made a promise to myself to keep things professional. Even though things between us were complicated, I was determined not to let personal stuff mess with my judgment.

So, when I walked into the kitchen. I didn't expect to see Ethan grabbing some water, I just gave him a nod. It was my way of reminding myself to stick to my guns.
