CHAPTER 83 Why Would You Want To Kill Me?

  Finally, I found the time to visit Lily and Mary once more. This time, they were separated. Lily wasn't in the dungeon; instead, she was housed in another underground area nearby. Mary remained the sole occupant in the dungeon's cage at the moment.

  Upon my arrival, Mary looked at me with a mix of sadness and fear in her eyes. "Will you set me free?" she pleaded, her hands gripping the cage bars as she attempted to break free. Despite feeling deeply troubled, I remained impassive.

  "I'm afraid I can't do that," I responded softly, shaking my head, as tears continued to stream down her cheeks.

  This is the first time she has ever shed tears since our encounters in this room began. It appeared as though she had become exhausted and was no longer willing to engage with me.

  "I am so tired," she gasped, shaking her head wearily. "Autumn, I am worn out from staying here for so long... I need to roam freely around the pack-"
