I entered the dungeon and saw Maya lying there, sedated. They had injected her with something to calm her wolf, which had been triggered and uncontrollable. Now, I was facing Lily, who sat weakly inside a cage, laughing as soon as she saw me.
"Do you want to live?" I asked, looking at her frail form.
There were warriors outside, waiting for my command.
"I want to live without doing the things you desire," she answered weakly, holding the bars of the cage.
"You know that I don't want that, Lily," I lowered my voice. "I've already told you about this. You could get killed right now if-"
"I am just so tired, Autumn," she cut me off, her voice filled with exhaustion. "You have no idea how tired I am."
"Don't compare that to the fact that I've faced betrayal from people I thought I could trust," I said firmly as I approached Lily, her eyes devoid of emotion.
