  "Yes," I answered him, hesitating slightly.

  "I kind of messed it up, but I fixed it with him, and I don't feel guilty anymore," he admitted, raising my brow in confusion.

  "What do you mean by that, Mr. Mason?" I asked, my tone dripping with sarcasm.

  "I told Ethan everything," he began, his voice soft, his gaze fixed on the ground. "He was really mad at first, and we even had a small fight. But after that, he didn't mind me. He just stormed off, saying he was going to save you and that I should stay back," he added, seeming satisfied as he said it. I felt a wave of relief wash over me.

  I took a deep breath. "Well... that's good that you're not feeling guilty or hiding something," I said, patting his back. "It might be better if you sorted it out with him. I want to see you fix your brotherhood with him, and I'll talk to him."

  He put my hand down. "Oh, you don't have to."
