CHAPTER 46: Rogues Attack

  Berton's POV

I sat in the room, searching through papers to see what was left to work on for the day, but still had a lot to cover. The table was filled with piles of papers, a workload that I had to ensure I finish early. I was desperate to go back home to Emily again.

Every day felt incredibly good with her by myself that I felt a significant amount of pressure to go back home to her every time I was at work or simply far from her. I heard a knock that disrupted my thoughts.

"Come in," I invited, and the assistant pushed the door open and stepped into the office.

"Good day, Alpha," she greeted, bowing her head a little. "I brought some documents that need your signature and there are other matters that need your attention as well," she placed a pile of files on the table.

"What is that?" I asked, leaning back against the backrest of my seat.

"There's a few Alpha's from other Pack that wished to talk to you concerning Pack matters," she informed me.
