CHAPTER 73: Nowhere To Be Found

  Berton's POV

I woke up with a pounding headache and the uncomfortable memory of agreeing to my mother's ridiculous request. What have I been thinking? I needed to set things straight with her immediately, or she was going to think that I had meant every single word of what I said. I regretted the fact that I had trifled with such heavy words. They could do a lot, in fact, I guessed they were already doing a lot and I had to do something before it would be too late.

But before setting things straight with her, I had to find Emily. I wanted to see her reaction, to know if she cared enough to be jealous. But the confusion now was where I was going to find her. There were no leads whatsoever to where she could be currently and it worried me so much. I wondered where I could find her. However I was going to try.
