Emily's POV
I forced myself up and tried to sit properly on the bed, but my body was in refusal. The room was dimly lit, and shadows danced menacingly on the walls. Fear gripped me as I struggled to remember how I had ended up in this state.
My body felt weak, and my eyes were half closed. These days I slept a lot more than I usually do, and it was starting to bother me. Why did I feel troubled? These new changes were slightly becoming concerning. I couldn't recall what had happened the previous night, but as I tried to sit up in bed, my head spun and the room swirled around me. The morning, feeling nauseous and dizzy.
I pushed the duvet off my body and slid down from the bed as I walked to the bathroom instead. After a while, I went down to make breakfast. I was still weak, and I felt nauseous as I tried to walk normally down the stairs and attempting to keep myself balanced. I dragged my feet to the kitchen and sat on the seat around the countertop.
