CHAPTER 92: Walking Away

  Emily's POV

"I'll be going now, my love. Please take care, I'll be home soon, I just need to give something to my client," I told the babysitter. Crouching down, I kissed his head and ran my fingers through his hair.

The babysitter smiled at me. She was quite young, probably sixteen, and she was both quiet and shy. I realized how comfortable my son was around her. I couldn't leave him on his own, even though I was going somewhere nearby. I wanted him to be safe at all times.

"I'll be home soon, so be a good boy. Do you hear me?" I whispered and he nodded slowly.

"Don't worry, mummy. I'll be good," he assured me, and I quickly rushed towards the door. I quickly stepped out of the building, got into the car and drove to the location.
