NINA'S POV
I woke up with a start, my eyelids heavy as I managed to adjust to the bright rays of sunlight that threatened to blind my eyes.
After some minutes, I had finally adjusted to the brightness and fluttered my eyes open, the images around me seemed to become more stable and clearer.
Just then, I noticed that my mouth tasted metallic and as though I had chewed on raw cotton wool.
Just as I forced myself to sit up, I was suddenly met with a wave of dizziness which crashed upon me with an untold force, sending me collapsing back on the bed.
I shut my eyes tightly and held my head, hoping that the spinning would stop immediately!
With each passing second, my thoughts were a little more organized. What the hell happened last night?
As I thought hard to remember when it was the slightest fragment of memory, images began to appear gradually in my head, but it seemed more like a poorly edited film than an organized one.
