ALEXANDER'S POV
When I and Nina walked out of the café, the cool evening air was washed over, trying to soften the tense atmosphere we'd just left. I sighed softly with relief, but it didn't last. The silence between us was uncomfortable, like we both wanted to say something but didn't know where to start.
Nina walked beside me, staring at the ground like it held the answers to unasked questions as she kept fidgeting with her hands. I felt her nervousness, a soft smile forming on my lips as I stared at her, but there was a distance between us that wasn't about space. Just then, We both started talking at the same time, our words overlapping. I stopped, letting her go first.
"ladies first, You… go ahead," I said, my voice soft, almost hesitant as I winked at her.
