Nina's POV
It didn't take me long to make the decision.
As I finished reading my mother's letter, time seemed to stand still. The words seared into my mind, exposing a painful truth: my father's hands were stained with her blood.
The weight of his betrayal crushed me. He had crafted an intricate facade of lies, hiding his guilt behind a mask of innocence. And I, oblivious to the truth, had lived with that deception for so long.
There was no turning back now. No time for doubts or second thoughts. A familiar ache settled in my chest, a heavyweight that threatened to suffocate me.
But I couldn't afford to let emotions get the better of me. Not after everything I'd discovered. My feelings about my father, the man who had abandoned me, no longer mattered.
For too long, my past had held me hostage, fueled by confusion and a desperate need for answers. But now I finally had the truth.
It was time to take action.
