Anna's POV.
"This isn't over," I said, removing my hands from her hands. Elena was the least of my problems right now. I needed to focus on calming down the crowd and stopping this madness. But they wouldn't listen.
"Expel her! Expel her!" they chanted, their voices growing louder and more intense.
I screamed at the top of my lungs, "Please, everyone, listen to me! Please!" But my words fell on deaf ears. No one was paying attention to me. I heard someone laughing behind me and turned to see Elena, her eyes gleaming with amusement.
I gritted my teeth and faced the crowd again, my heart racing with anxiety. "Please, you all need to listen to me! Please!" I begged, but they just kept chanting, their voices getting louder and more menacing.
They were standing right in front of the principal's office, and it seemed like nothing was going to stop them from getting their way. At this point, I could swear the universe was against me.
