CHAPTER 17: Put in Place

  Blair's POV

"Would you at least let me in?" She asked, and I nodded as I moved away from the door.

"It's not like I have a choice, do I? It's more your house than mine," I whispered, and she puckered her face at me.

It was difficult to get angry at her face; it was so beautiful, carefully sculpted by angels. I didn't really pay attention to her looks the last time we met, but I could see them clearly now.

"I'm shocked you remember me," she announced while making her way to the living room and propping down on the sofa.

"Of course I remember you; you didn't look very pleased to see me with Gabriel that night; in fact, you gave the impression that I disgusted you," I replied.

I had not moved from where I stood, and the door still hung open. I quickly closed it and walked towards her.

"Well, you actually did disgust me. I mean, why would such a low life be walking hand in hand with the soon-to-be Alpha like a happy couple?"
