Sinclair's pov
Gabriel returned without Blair and the murmurs from everyone became so loud, it wasn't a murmur anymore.
"The festival must go on!" My father announced and the elders assembled to pay respect to the moon goddess while my legs remained glued to where I stood.
"I told you that rogue was no good. Now look at you son, she didn't even consider the feelings you have for her before running away from a question that would have changed both your lives forever.." my mother said with a tinge of excitement in her voice.
"Don't think about her anymore my child, this is proof that she doesn't want you as much as you claim to need her" she continued.
My head was way too busy for me to think about anything she was saying, so I excused myself and headed to where my car was parked, ignoring the whispers in every corner of the hall.
