Blair's pov
Mourning my mother's death, facing the council, facing alpha Atlas, battling with that talisman!
I don't even know which is worse than the other, but I managed to remain calm despite the noise in my head.
Sinclair and I left the elder's place and drove straight to the council to respond to their call. I looked in the car's mirror one more time to make sure my face didn't look as pale as it did earlier.
"Hey, remember. Whatever it is, they say to you in there. If you find it offensive, don't hesitate to stand up for yourself because I'm right by your side, okay?" Sinclair urged, and I nodded. He gently kissed my forehead, and I warmed up in his arms for a few seconds before walking towards the main entrance...
"Are you ready?" Sinclair asked as we stood at the door, and I nodded as a heavy flow of air parted my lips. We both walked in, hand in hand.
