Sinclair's pov
It was getting dark a bit too fast, and I could still sense horror hovering around even though I couldn't place my hands on what exactly was going wrong.
I went into Caleb's room, but it was dark and cold. It's more like there hasn't been any form of life inside it for a while, and I, for some reason, immediately got this sinking feeling in my stomach that something was up.
Standing by his bedside wouldn't give me the answers I needed, so I darted off to the car and didn't stop to listen to Blair or Zira as they tried to stop me from driving out.
I drove off to the PineGrove estate as fast as I could because I already had it in mind that alpha Atlas must have figured out that I escaped his untrained abductors.
The estate looked somewhat different to me as I drove into the parking lot, and I could hear the loud whispers from all around the house, obviously surprised by my sudden appearance.
