CHAPTER 142: Antidote

  It took almost three hours before we got to the location Desmelda gave me, and sure enough, Zira slept for almost half of the journey. I know about the age-long hatred between werewolves and witches, so I braced myself up to plead with Desmelda no matter how hard her heart gets.

  "Wait here, I'll make sure she's okay with bringing werewolves into her house.." I said to Sinclair, and his brows lifted.

  "Aren't you a werewolf as well?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes because there was no time to start explaining anything to him.

  "Just wait here, Sinclair, and I'll text you when you can come inside.." I blurted and walked briskly into the house. The last time I was here, I barely knew how to use my legs, let alone recall what exactly brought my mother and I here that very night.

  "Blair!" I looked up at where the voice was coming from and there she was, rushing down the stairs like a little child, and I smiled broadly.
