  Stepping into the art department, I caught wind of more gossip circulating about me. But this time, something was different. Amidst the whispers, I distinctly heard her voice rising in my defense. It was unexpected, yet strangely reassuring.

  For years, I had grown accustomed to the norm of skepticism and scrutiny, almost forgetting what genuine support felt like.

  Two girls cornered me at the party, their playful banter filled with flattery and teasing.

  "Do you even realize how hot you are?" the girl on the left purred, planting a kiss on my ear.

  "You're proving that right now," I taunted back, feeling their hands begin to explore my body.

  "I could model for you," Jenny whispered huskily, almost nipping at my ear. "I wouldn't mind being your muse for a pose or two," she giggled, her laughter infectious in the dimly lit room.
