Lysandra didn't appear entirely convinced. "If you say so, then maybe you shouldn't engage in that banter in front of guests. I know nothing about this and I'm concerned..." Her voice trailed off.
I reached out and touched her arm gently, sensing her lack of energy. "You should scold your brother," I teased in a soft voice, a hint of nostalgia in my words, but she didn't return the smile.
"I agree with Lysandra, though. It can be overwhelming," Cedric interjected with a smirk, his eyes briefly flicking to me with possessiveness.
Zane's jaw clenched slightly. "Or perhaps she just needs time to adjust. Not everyone is accustomed to your... charm, Cedric, especially my sister," he remarked pointedly.
Cedric rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on, Zane. As if you're any different. You know I have feelings for someone-"
Draven snorted dismissively. "We don't need to impress anyone here."
