Calista
We walked out of the restaurant together. Lysandra slipped her arm through mine as we made our way down the quiet street.
"So," she said after a few moments of silence, "What's next for you?"
I took a deep breath, considering the question. "I don't know," I admitted. "But I think that's okay. I don't need to have all the answers right now. I just need to take it one step at a time. But you know," I looked at her, "I am thankful that they do understand my choice and they won't have to keep doing what they did."
Lysandra nodded, her arm tightening around mine. "I know my brother will not disappoint me too. He can't and never pressure someone," she snickered. "And I'll be with you for every step," she promised.
I smiled, "I know," I said softly. "And that makes all the difference."
