  Travis leaned against the cool marble countertop, his piercing blue eyes never leaving Camila as she laid out her proposal. The shock of it buzzed through him like electricity, igniting a flicker of respect for the audacity she possessed.

  "Camila," he began, the corner of his mouth quirking up despite himself, "I must admit, I did not see that coming."
