CHAPTER 27 A Model

  Travis stared at the text on his phone, rereading Camila's request for a moment longer before he exhaled a mix of anticipation and unease. He was standing in front of the mirror in his bedroom, assessing the reflection that showcased his well-maintained physique. A part of him swelled with readiness to share this image with her; after all, it wasn't every day one's diligence in personal fitness was acknowledged.

  "Photos, huh?" he murmured to himself, the corners of his mouth lifting in a half-smile. "Guess it's time to show what I've got."

  But as he reached for his phone to reply, a shadow of doubt crept into his thoughts. The idea that Camila might have made a similar request to another man twisted something inside him uncomfortably. He imagined some other model, perhaps with a frame as disciplined as his or a smile as practised, sending pictures to Camila, her eyes lighting up in appreciation.
