Lydia's POV
Heavy breathing and slow footsteps were heard from the other side of the door. I could literally sense his heavy breathing even through the door. How shameless! Hes got no manners in any aspect, let alone for being a good neighbor.
"Excuse me, I— oh my god," What lies in front of me is a heated, sweating corpse-like man. I was stunned to say the least! Moreover, it was a battle between my mind and reality. He looked so disheveled and weak that I couldn't help but blurt out.
Trembling like a fawn,"Hey...are you okay? What's wrong?"
The concern for him in me skyrocketed when he simply shook his head. In my mind, I took it as though he rolled his eyes and shook his head at me!
'Oh lord. Not this girl again,' was what I imagined him to be thinking!
"Hey, are you sick?" I attempted to ask immediately again, holding onto the other door frame onto which he was helplessly leaning.
Oh God, what have was I even thinking?
