Lydia's POV
Levi's confession to his mother was unwavering. He had no second thoughts about me in his head and I appreciate that so much. He almost makes me cry by the end of it all. I close my eyes, trying to control my emotions and fighting a war with myself in my head.
"I really love my mate, mother. She is everything I need in my life." His voice is softer, gentle and calm as he concludes. Taking a deep breath in, I turn to look at his quiet mother. She smiles at her son, a proud smile that reflects that she has indeed raised him right.
"That...is acceptable. Are you satisfied, my love?" She turns to me and asks as my eyes widen. How did she manage to sound so sweet to me? I blink rapidly, trying to get a reaction out of myself which amuses them.
"I- I am." I stutter out.
