CHAPTER 78: A Witch And A Wolf

  Emma's POV

I stood in front of the Alpha with a stern expression, a mask for the apprehension I felt inside. I looked up from the papers on his desk, his eyes narrowing as he took in my determined demeanor.

"So, Emma, what brings you to my office?" he asked, his voice firm but with a hint of curiosity. "I assume it's not about rejoining the pack?"

My eyes were locked onto his, my gaze was unwavering. "No, it's not about rejoining the pack," I said, my voice steady. "I want to know what you know about my biological parents."

The Alpha expression changed, a hint of surprise flashing across his face before he regained his composure. "Ah, yes. Your parents," he said, his voice measured. "I knew this day would come eventually."

He leaned back in his chair, steeping his fingers together as he regarded me. "Very well, Emma. I'll tell you what I know. But be warned, the truth may not be what you expect."
