Emma's POV
I looked at him with a frown. His eyes flashing with defiance as I declared, "I'll find my way out, with or without your permission." My voice was firm, unwavering, and laced with annoyance.
But the alpha merely chuckled, a low, condescending sound that almost made me freeze on the spot . "You're bluffing, Emma," he sneered, his smile dripping with amusement. "You'll come crawling back, begging for my help and guidance. You can't survive without me." His words were laced with confidence, but my resolve only strengthened, and my jaw set in a fierce line as I vowed within me to prove him wrong.
The alpha's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with a knowing light. "You'll see, Emma. You'll realize you can't make it on your own. And when you do, I've already made arrangements for your return. You'll be back in the pack soon enough, and everything will go back to normal." His voice was dripping with condescension, as if he was speaking to a wayward child.
