CHAPTER 70: The dark Street night

The streets were eerily quiet as Isabelle and Ella wandered aimlessly with their footsteps echoing in the emptiness. The cold night air bit into Isabelle's skin but the chill inside her heart was far worse. She couldn't stop crying, her mind replaying everything that had happened over the past few hours about John's anger, Emily's betrayal, the way her whole world had collapsed in an instant. She turned to Ella, her voice hoarse from weeping.

"Ella… do you really think John could leave me? After everything we've been through?" Her voice cracked with desperation. "Do you think Emily could've done this to me? I still can't believe it's real… it feels like a nightmare I can't wake up from." Emily whispered.

Ella looked at her with soft, sad eyes. "Isabelle, I don't know what's in John's heart but right now, we need to focus on surviving. We can't let ourselves fall apart."

Isabelle shook her head, her tears falling freely now.
