CHAPTER 37: Rachel's plan

A day after the proposal, Rachel's mind grew increasingly consumed by frustration and anger. She couldn't shake off the feeling that John had outsmarted her and that Isabelle had somehow managed to steal the spotlight once again. Rachel's thoughts swirled with resentment as she replayed the events of the previous day in her head.

"Why could John propose to Isabelle in such a public and elaborate way without getting me involved? Didn't he know the risk the family business is going through right now? how could he do that … What was with the crowd, the banner and the ring? It was all so...tacky." Rachel thought to herself.

As Rachel continued to think, her irritation bubbled beneath the surface and a new strategy began to form. She realized she needed to move quickly before it was too late; she couldn't allow John and Isabelle to ride off into the sunset without a problem.
