Isabelle's voice cut through the tension in the room, her anger breaking free.
"Get out, John!" she shouted, her words echoing as Rachel's body slumped faintly onto the floor. The shock, the disbelief and the flood of memories overwhelmed Isabelle, every moment of betrayal rushing back to her like a fierce tide. John's face fell and the weight of his guilt was almost tangible in the space between them.
But despite her fierce command, John remained rooted to the spot, his eyes pleading with her, desperate. He took a tentative step forward, raising a trembling hand as if he could somehow bridge the chasm he had created years ago.
"Please, Isabelle, I'm so sorry. I know I can't undo what I did but… I need you to understand…" He began, his voice choking with emotion.
Ben stepped in, his expression firm yet compassionate."John, it's best you go outside for now. Let her have a moment." Ben said.
