CHAPTER 67 The Confrontation

  Ricard stepped out of the car, his cold eyes scanning the thugs approaching him. They lined up, their gazes menacing and aggressive. Ricard knew he was facing a dangerous situation, but he had no other choice. This wasn't the first time he'd confronted people like this, and he was ready for whatever was about to happen.

  Emma sat in the car, her heart pounding. She couldn't just sit there, not knowing what was happening outside. Without hesitation, she rolled down the window slightly, just enough to hear what was going on. The sounds outside became clearer, and she caught the sneering and taunting words from the thugs.

  "You're a lucky one, Ricard Anderson," one of the thugs sneered, his malicious laughter echoing in the night. "We thought you'd blow up in that car, but it seems you're still alive."
