CHAPTER 85 Chemistry with Ricard

Emma and Ricard continued their walk through the hospital grounds, but soon they decided to find a place to sit and rest. A stone bench beneath an old tree nearby became their ideal stop. They both sat down, the atmosphere peaceful and cool, with the late afternoon sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting shimmering patterns on the ground.

Ricard turned to look at Emma, his eyes gentle yet filled with concern. "Does the wound still hurt?" His voice was warm, each word laced with sincere worry.

Emma smiled softly, feeling the warmth from Ricard's concern. "I'm okay, Ricard. The past few days have been much better. The doctor said I just need some more rest, and I'll be fully recovered."

Ricard nodded slightly, a hint of relief in his eyes. "I'm really grateful to you, Emma. If it weren't for you that day, I don't know what would have happened. You saved me."
