CHAPTER 99 The Need to Marry

Anna felt her anger rising as she noticed the hesitation in Ricard's eyes. She had tried to control her emotions, but his indecisiveness was something she could no longer tolerate. Her eyes gleamed with determination, and she decided that she would not let Ricard evade the subject any longer.

"Ricard, I'm not getting any younger," Anna began, her voice serious and tense. "I can't wait forever. I want to settle down, to have a home, and we need to get married."

"Anna, I understand that," Ricard replied, his voice gentle but tinged with defensiveness. "But you know, our work is very demanding right now. There's so much to take care of, and I don't want the wedding to become another burden."
