CHAPTER 140: Landslide

In the small room, Mr. Anderson and Ricard were groggily trying to comprehend the situation. The two local representatives, Karl and Lisa, also looked at Emma with confused expressions. None of them understood why Emma was so sure that there was a landslide behind the village. This area, as far as they knew, was surrounded by solid limestone mountains, making the possibility of a landslide very unlikely. These limestone mountains had stood firm for countless years, never shaken by any rainstorm.

"Emma, the back of the village is limestone mountains. How could there be a landslide?" Karl asked, his voice full of doubt.

Mr. Anderson nodded, agreeing with Karl. "Are you sure, Emma? I've been here many times and never heard of a landslide in this area."

Ricard stood quietly beside them, his eyes revealing concern. He couldn't explain Emma's worried reaction, but his instincts told him that something was wrong.
