Hannah's POV
As I pulled up to my house, I noticed Christian's car parked out front. My heart skipped a beat, and I felt a mix of emotions run through me, surprise, confusion, and something heavier. What was he doing here? I thought he would have gone home after I turned down his coffee invite earlier.
I parked my car, stepping out slowly as a nervous energy filled the air. Christian wasn't the type to just show up like this, not without reason. The idea of him surprising me would have made me smile, but tonight, there was a heaviness in the air.
And from the way he was leaning against his car, arms crossed, looking tense, I could tell this wasn't just a casual visit.
"Hi, Christian!" I called out as I approached him, trying to read his expression. "What's going on? Is everything alright?"
He lifted his head, his eyes cold and distant, something I wasn't used to seeing from him. His gaze sent a shiver down my spine, and I instantly knew something was wrong. Wrong.
