CHAPTER 99 The Last Chance

  Hannah's POV

I stood there, speechless, as Christian rose to his feet, brushing the snow from his knees. My heart was racing, and I didn’t know what to do with all the emotions flooding through me. The words he’d just said were still echoing in my head. I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

The air around us was thick, I can hear my heart beating in my ears. Christian had just poured his heart out.

“Please, Hannah, I can not see you with anyone else, I will die. I can not even think my life without you,” His voice raw with emotion, asking me not to see anyone else. His words hung in the air, and for a moment, I couldn’t breathe.

I stared at him, my mind racing, torn between the intensity of his feelings and my own emotions.

Part of me wanted to fall into his arms, to accept his love and the promise of a future together. But another part of me was still hurt, still aching from the confusion and misunderstanding of the past few days.
