CHAPTER 79: Morning Clarity

  Hannah's POV

I woke up feeling warm and safe, the familiar scent of Christian surrounding me. As I slowly opened my eyes, I realized I was still wrapped in his arms, my head resting on his chest.

For a moment, I just lay there, taking in the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, the gentle rise and fall of his chest beneath me.

It was peaceful, until the events of last night came rushing back.

I closed my eyes again, a wave of embarrassment washing over me. The confrontation, the jealousy, the tears… I'd been so emotional, so overwhelmed. And now, in the light of day, I couldn't help but cringe at the way I'd acted. What must Christian think of me?

  "Morning."

I tensed slightly at the sound of his voice. When I opened my eyes, I saw him looking down at me with that familiar tenderness in his eyes.

He smiled softly, reaching up to brush a strand of hair away from my face. His touch was gentle, reassuring, but I could see the questions lingering in his gaze.
