Genevieve's POV
Everything happened in a blur, after Lorenzo left. I don't know how long I remained on the hard wooden living room floor of the cabin weeping or how I managed to carefully walk around Cole's body to avoid slipping again and called the police.
The blaring of the siren notified me of the police's arrival, my eyes were very puffy and red as I was staring blankly at Cole's body. I was still remembering flashes of how Lorenzo killed him mercilessly in cold blood as I stood watching in horror.
The living room now looked like a crime scene from a movie, with the small yellow numbered thing which was placed around Cole's body and the yellow "Do not cross, Crime Scene," tape thing and other cops taking photos of the cabin and Cole's body.
The police were asking me questions like, if I had any idea who would do this and what their motive was for killing the victim.
Killer: It's Lorenzo. Lorenzo Barbieri!
Motive: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
