Genevieve's POV
"I don't have any dresses for the date you have in mind Cole. Besides I don't want to go outside just yet." I reasoned.
"You're still afraid because of that horrendous incident. I get it, but you can't let that one incident define your entire life Evie."
Cole has been trying to get me to step out of the cabin to get a breath of fresh air and change of scenery. But I just didn't want to go.. something didn't feel right. I can feel it in my guts.
"I don't know Cole. It just doesn't feel right yet," I replied with uncertainty rubbing my arms.
Cole senses my uneasiness as he scoots closer to me where I was sitting cross legged on the living room floor.
"Okay, I get it if you're not yet ready to go back out there," he tucks my hair behind my ear before cupping my cheek.
"I won't force you, okay. I'll respect your decision" I lean into his touch more, holding onto his hand cupping my cheek.
