CHAPTER 56 Wolf in sheep's clothing

  Genevieve's POV

I froze in my seat, My eyes enlarged in size at the implication of what Barb just said to me. The shock and surprise was crippling. The surprise and shock I felt when I was told by Doctor Ryan that I had selective amnesia when my father and I got into an accident years ago which claimed my father's life.

It's the exact feeling right now. I couldn't believe my ears. It's not possible. It just can't be true, was Barb perhaps pulling my legs. Maybe she's saying this to make me feel better, so I can stop beating myself up about this whole issue.

But I knew deep down that Barb wasn't the type to joke around, especially with something serious and important like this.

"Genevieve? Hey!" Barb calls out to me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I blinked as I looked over to Barb's sympathetic face.

"No... this is a trick. You're pranking me right now. Please stop it, I don't like this… I don't like this at all." I replied.
