Genevieve's POV
A gunshot echoed in the dining room, followed by Camilla's terrified shriek.
I opened my eyes just in time to see Marisa's body drop to the floor lifelessly, blood streaming from the hole in her head.
My God!
Lorenzo strode closer to her, aiming at her body, pulling the trigger as I covered my ears.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
He tried to pull the trigger once more but heard only clicking sounds as he threw the gun to the floor, cursing under his breath.
"Damn it!" Gio cursed, running his fingers through his hair.
Alessio and Diego rushed to the scene, probably alerted by the gunshots.
Lorenzo's lips turned down in displeasure, looking at Marisa's body.
She's dead.
"Get someone to clean up this mess," he ordered, taking a seat.
"Yes, boss," Diego replied, while the other men ventured into the dining area, promptly carrying her body away, leaving behind a bloody trail that led to the outside of the house.
